PART 27:00-8:30PMZach Sadowski and Emily Bonnell, Friends of Simon Weisenthal Centre
This dynamic 75-minute workshop explores the enduring nature of antisemitism by examining the stereotypes, conspiracy theories and dangerous myths about Jews that lay at the heart of Nazi propaganda during the Holocaust - and how these same centuries-old tropes are increasingly resurfacing today. Participants will learn to recognize how ideas about Jewish power, control, disloyalty and conspiracy have evolved and adapted to contemporary contexts, appearing in public discourse, online spaces and everyday life. By connecting the lessons of the Holocaust to the antisemitism we are witnessing today, the workshop equips participants to identify these patterns, understand their real-world impact on Jewish communities, and challenge antisemitism when they encounter it.
